As part of CWE’s continued growth strategy we are seeking to appoint the following roles to support the ongoing operational fleet, new acquisitions and repowering.

Asset Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day review of turbine operations and coordination of O&M providers
  • Analysis of turbine performance over time and provision of solutions to rectify issues with a cost effective solutions or to improve output
  • Assist in process management, help create better processes and systems to manage operational fleet of turbines
  • Liaison with turbine OEMs and other suppliers to support the repowering procurement strategy and implentation
  • Liaison with landowners
  • Improve and grow database to provide management tool of analysing operational and financial turbine performance over time Ownership of project commercial models and development budgets.
  • Monthly management reports on the operational performance of the turbine fleet set against a suite of metrics
  • Budgeting and analysis of turbine profitability and satisfaction of banking covenants

Additional responsibilities

  • Meter data monitoring and recording (import, export, generation and turbine meter) including following up on error reporting
  • Analyse and minimise local council business rates as well as liaise with local councils
  • Preparation and analysis of insurance terms to comply with lease terms and other obligations of the company; file claims and follow through to settlement
  • Review and coordinate all operating contracts (eg PPAs, O&M)
  • Adhoc projects, eg review DNO kVa Export and Import costings
  • Site maintenance review and coordination as required • Quarter and year end adhoc assistance
  • Liaise with councils on planning issues, follow up with consultants
  • Ofgem monthly submissions and certificates
  • Coordinate and maintain site access arrangements and Health & Safety logs

Your Profile

We are looking for a self-starting and highly organised Asset Manager with wind sector experience who has a hands-on approach in an agile business environment.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Wind Sector Asset Management experience, ideally with FIT scale turbines
  • O&M contractor management
  • Knowledge in wind scada systems
  • Proactive, commercially focused and able to adapt well as required.
  • Experience of project construction oversight
  • Full knowledge of HSQE requirements and wind turbine safety best practice.
  • Knowledge and relationships with key suppliers.

Head of Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building a development capability in line with the business plan and growth strategy
  • Overseeing the repowering roll out for the operational portfolio, determining the most efficient route to deal with consenting aspects and all matters associated with project delivery.
  • Working with the asset management team on bespoke procurement for repowering technology choice.
  • Leading greenfield site origination, working with land agents, development partners and technical consultants to grow a pipeline of quality projects.
  • Working closely with the energy storage business to determine opportunities for co-location and asset optimisation.
  • Ownership of project commercial models and development budgets.
  • Identification of potential development acquisition opportunities.
  • Identification and securing potential private wire opportunities for individual development sites.

Your Profile:

We are looking for a Head of Development who has a hands-on approach in an agile business environment and a strong track record at successfully taking sites from inception through to delivery. Ideally the individual would have a background in planning or general project management, but also very strong commercially with onshore wind sector experience in the UK an advantage.

Humility coupled with a good sense of humour is high up on our lists of character traits.

  • Strong academic profile.
  • Proactive and able to adapt well as required.
  • Experience of a fast growing or acquisitive business.
  • Sector experience in wind energy consenting and project delivery
  • Knowledge and relationships with key industry players.
